The Bighorn PCN is pleased to have an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant on staff. The Lactation Consultant is a Registered Nurse who is here to help women on their breastfeeding journey. Whether you are pregnant, post-partum, or not pregnant, the Lactation Consultant is available to consult by phone, in-home (in Hinton), or in-clinic, and can answer any questions you might have about the joys and trials of breastfeeding, or any questions relating to post-partum care. The Lactation Consultant complements the dedicated work done by our Maternal Support Nurse.

To access the services of the Bighorn PCN Lactation Consultant:

• Ask your family physician for a referral
• If you don’t have a family physician, visit a walk-in clinic to seek a referral
• Self-referral is also available if you have a family physician
