• Assess severity and prognosis
• Monitor response to respiratory treatments
• Monitor decline of lung function

Patients can be referred for Respiratory Therapist services by their Bighorn PCN family physician.

• Complete pulmonary function tests
• Spirometry/Flow Volume Loop
• Oximetry (at rest and exertion)
• Asthma and COPD self-management education (patients can self-refer)
• Smoking Cessation Education (patients can self-refer)

• For patients with moderate to severe chronic lung diseases such as COPD, Asthma, Fibrosis, and other respiratory illnesses
• How to breath properly
• Energy conservation
• Respiratory infections
• How to prevent flare-ups
• Aggravating factors
• Respiratory medications and proper inhaler technique
• Smoking cessation
• Vaccines
• Managing stress and anxiety
